I have just completed the walnut ink under drawing for the encaustic portrait of Chief James Hart. He is a master carver and chief of the Haida Eagle Clan.I met him last August .
This portrait depicts him working on his totem "Reconciliation" at his carving shed.The totem will be raised at UBC and depicts his people's experience with the residential school system.
